The Founder of the IPTF & its President

Grandmaster Javed Khan – A Legacy in Martial Arts

​

A lifelong martial artist, Grandmaster Javed Khan holds a 9th Degree Black Belt in two different Taekwondo systems and is the creator of Khan Do Kwan, a modern Indian fighting system. He is also the creator and founder of KPCT (Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics), a specialized system designed for law enforcement and security personnel. A pioneer of Taekwondo in India, he also introduced Kickboxing to India in the early 1980s, earning the title "Father of Indian Kickboxing."

As the President of the International Progressive Taekwondo Federation, Grandmaster Javed Khan has achieved remarkable milestones. He is a two-time world record holder in breaking, an International Taekwondo and Kickboxing Champion, and the creator of WARDA (Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse)—a counter-assault program that has empowered over 20,000 women worldwide with self-defense skills.

Grandmaster Khan has trained national, international, and world champions, producing hundreds of black belts across the globe. His expertise has been sought by Bollywood actors, police officers in multiple countries, military personnel, and special forces.

Film Industry Contributions

Beyond martial arts, Grandmaster Javed Khan has made a significant impact in the film industry. He has written, directed, and produced films and has worked as an action choreographer and coordinator in various Bollywood productions. Additionally, he has starred in several films as a leading actor.

Law Enforcement & Public Service

​

Grandmaster Javed Khan is an Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board provider and currently serves as a Lieutenant with the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Indiana, USA. His KPCT (Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics) system has been instrumental in training law enforcement personnel in advanced control and defense strategies.

  • Javed Khan Day Declared in Indiana (September 4, 2022) – Proclaimed by Indiana State Rep Mitchell Gore

  • Outstanding Public Service Award (March 11, 2023) – Awarded by the Indianapolis Muslim Community and the Center for Interfaith Integration
